Course Description: This course will discuss the organ theories and the fundamental principles of the external factors that cause disease, the general law of pathological changes, and the prevention/treatment of disease.

Purpose of Course: Understanding the theory of Zang-Fu, Etiology and Pathology.

Objective of Course: 
  1. To learn the Extraordinary Fu organs’ physiology and function under TCM Theory.
  2. To learn  the relationships among the Zang-Fu organs
  3. To learn a etiology and pathogenesis caused for human body illness.
  4. To learn a etiology of 7 emotional caused for human body  illness
  5. To learn a etiology of food excess or malnutrition, over work and over sex condition for human body
Method: Instruction will consist of in-person lectures, reading assignments, class discussions, and handouts. Classroom questions and discussions are strongly encouraged. Other instructional techniques may also be employed i.e. audio-visual presentations, speakers, critical thinking exercises and group activities
