Course Description: The study of the nature of diseases and illness for pathological changes in cellular injuries, healing, inflammation, infection, neoplasia, and immunologic including microbiology, psychopathology, and epidemiology; In this course, will study disorders of the immune system, infectious disease, hemodynamic disorders, neoplasia, the cellular & molecular basis of neoplasia, blood vessels, and blood disorders.

Purpose of Course: To introduce students to pathological factors affecting the human body, the nature of diseases, and the prevention methods.

Outcome of Learning Course: Students will begin to survey of the nature of disease and illness,   and understand the physiological and functional changes by the pathophysiology.

Objective of Course:

  1. To study and understand the causes of diseases, surveying the genesis of diseases and the study of lesions.
Understanding pathophysiology, symptomatology and developing the ability to recognize diseases.

Method: Instruction will consist of in-person lectures, reading assignments, class discussions, and handouts. Classroom questions and discussions are strongly encouraged. Other instructional techniques may also be employed i.e. audio-visual presentations, speakers, critical thinking exercises and group activities.
